Job summary

Egis Group in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead and supervise bridge and underpass construction projects. You will review designs, calculations and shop drawings, and coordinate with designers, contractors and authorities to ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements on site.

The ideal candidate offers a Civil Engineering degree, 12+ years of relevant experience in bridge projects, strong knowledge of AASHTO/Eurocodes, and proficiency in ETABS,

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in bridge and underpass construction.
• Proficient in structural analysis software (ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, MIDAS).

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee structural engineering activities for bridge and underpass construction projects.
• Review and approve structural designs, drawings, calculations, shop drawings and method statements.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve design and construction issues on site.
• Ensure construction works comply with project specifications, approved drawings and codes.
• Coordinate with designers, contractors, consultants and authorities on structural matters.
• Supervise site works including foundations, substructures, superstructures and adjacent civil works.
• Monitor quality control activities, material approvals, inspections and testing related to structural works.
• Support value engineering, constructability reviews and risk mitigation.
• Prepare and review technical reports, inspection records and progress documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
