Job summary

Target Engineering Construction Co LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead oil and gas EPC structural design from concept to detailed design.

You will mentor teams, ensure compliance with international codes, review deliverables, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary groups to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of engineering experience in consultancy or EPC environments; oil & gas exposure.
• Minimum 5 years in Lead/Principal/ Senior Lead roles.
• Experience in design and execution of onshore and/or offshore oil and gas facilities.
• Strong knowledge of international design codes, standards and best practices.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and manage multiple project stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our EPC engineering team delivering complex oil and gas projects. This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing structural engineering activities, ensuring technical excellence, and driving successful project execution from concept through detailed design.

The successful candidate will serve as a key technical authority, leading multidisciplinary coordination and delivering safe, cost-effective, and high-quality engineering solutions in accordance with international standards and project requirements.

YOUR ROLE

As Senior Structural Engineer you will

• Lead and manage structural engineering design activities for oil and gas EPC projects.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Ensure structural designs comply with project specifications, industry codes, and client requirements.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, calculations, analyses, and design reports.
• Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Support constructability reviews, technical evaluations, and risk assessments.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and project execution procedures.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education / Certifications / Licenses

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's Degree preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 15 years of engineering experience in an engineering consultancy or EPC environment, including significant involvement in oil and gas projects
• Minimum 5 years of experience serving as a Lead Engineer, Senior Lead Engineer, or Principal Engineer
• Demonstrated experience in the design and execution of onshore and/or offshore oil and gas facilities
• Strong knowledge of international design codes, standards, and engineering best practices
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and manage multiple project stakeholders

Skills and Competencies

• Thorough and in-depth technical knowledge of:
• Engineering procedures and methodologies
• Structural analysis and design tools
• Engineering systems and work processes
• Quality and safety requirements within the oil and gas sector
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with structural software such as SACS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, or equivalent.
