Job summary

Ericsson in United Arab Emirates seeks a Storage and Backup Expert to administer and optimize enterprise storage and data protection platforms. You will focus on day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management across multi-vendor storage technologies including Dell, IBM, Pure, and Huawei, with NetWorker/PPDM/Data Domain for backups.

You will collaborate with UNIX/Linux, Windows, VMware, and cloud teams, provide guidance to junior staff, and participate in on-call coverage to

Qualifications

Bachelor-level degree in a relevant field and 8+ years in storage/backend administration.
Experience with multi-vendor storage and backup environments in enterprise settings.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure production issues.

Responsibilities

Administer and support enterprise storage platforms (Dell, IBM, Pure, Huawei) across VMAX, PowerMax, Unity, NAS and ECS.
Manage backup solutions (NetWorker, PPDM, Data Domain) with schedules, retention and compliance.
Perform provisioning, zoning, masking, capacity management and performance monitoring.
Coordinate storage migrations, upgrades, firmware updates and patching.
Provide 24x7 on-call support and act as senior escalation point for storage incidents.
Collaborate with UNIX/Linux, Windows, VMware, Cloud teams and mentor juniors.
