Job summary

Intertec Softwares in Dubai seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure Backup Manager to oversee the backup ecosystem, ensure data integrity and support enterprise storage design and virtualization initiatives. The role requires hands-on expertise with Commvault, EMC storage, VMware virtualization, and ITIL processes, along with proven leadership on large deployments and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of IT Infrastructure Backup Management experience.
• At least 3 years managing large IT projects.
• Certifications: CCP, VCTA, DCA-ISM, ITIL Foundation.
• Experience with Commvault, EMC, Networker, and Veeam.
• Strong storage (SAN/NAS) and virtualization knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain backup systems using Commvault and Networker.
• Implement, monitor and optimize backup processes for data integrity.
• Conduct regular backups, restore testing and DR planning.
• Design, implement and manage EMC storage solutions.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning and upgrades.
• Work with SAN/NAS, LUN provisioning and reporting.
• Manage VMware Horizon, AD, Exchange environments.
• Oversee VMware AirWatch and ManageEngine components.
• Document backup/storage configurations and recovery procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
• Collaborate with IT teams for seamless integration.
• Provide training to team members and end-users.
• Plan ESXi upgrades and migrations.
• Understand Datacenter and virtualization technologies.
• Assess client infra readiness for datacenter projects.
