Job summary

IRTH Group seeks an experienced Civil QA/QC Engineer with hands-on steel structure expertise to oversee quality across construction projects in Dubai. You will inspect fabrication, erection, welding, bolting, and installation, ensuring compliance with drawings, ITPs, specifications, and codes.

The role requires reviewing MIRs/WIRs/NCRs, maintaining inspection records, coordinating with contractors and clients, and driving corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and 5–8 years QA/QC in construction.
• Strong hands-on experience with steel fabrication, erection, welding inspection, bolted connections, alignment, and dimensional checks.
• Familiarity with reinforced concrete structures, foundations, and related inspections is preferred.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, material testing, welding quality requirements, and construction quality control systems.
• Certifications such as CSWIP, AWS welding inspection, BGAS, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Quality oversight of civil and structural activities with emphasis on steel fabrication, erection, and installation.
• Review and verify ITPs, method statements, QC procedures, and inspection checklists for steel works.
• Witness site and laboratory testing including welding, bolting, torque checks, and dimensional verifications.
• Identify non-conformities, coordinate corrective actions, and monitor close-out with stakeholders.
• Prepare quality reports, maintain records, and participate in quality meetings and site inspections.
