Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Structural Engineer with steel bridge focus.
• Experience in design, construction, inspection or rehabilitation of steel bridges.
• Strong knowledge of steel structures and bridge engineering principles.
• Familiarity with international bridge design codes and standards.
• Proficiency in structural engineering software and design tools.
• Experience reviewing fabrication drawings and steel bridge erection procedures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and verify structural designs, calculations, and shop drawings for steel bridge projects.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Conduct structural assessments, inspections, and condition surveys of steel bridges and related structures.
• Evaluate structural integrity and recommend repair, strengthening, or rehabilitation solutions.
• Review fabrication and erection methodologies for steel bridge components.
• Ensure compliance with relevant design codes and project specifications.
• Provide technical support during project planning, execution, and commissioning phases.
• Prepare engineering reports, technical submissions, method statements, and project documentation.
• Attend project meetings and represent the engineering team in discussions with clients and stakeholders.
• Assist in value engineering initiatives and optimization of structural solutions.
• Support claims, variations, and technical clarifications related to structural works when required.
• Conduct site visits and coordinate with construction teams to resolve engineering issues.
