Job summary

NOV in the UAE seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical activities for large-scale projects in oil & gas. You will ensure design integrity, compliance with ASME, API and related standards, and timely delivery within budget.

The role requires 15+ years in mechanical engineering, with a focus on static and rotating equipment, and proficiency in PV-Elite, Compress and TANK. You will coordinate with vendors and project teams on site in Dubai.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas.
• Experience with static & rotating equipment.
• Proficiency in mechanical design software and codes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical integrity of mechanical activities.
• Adhere to QM system, standards and procedures.
• Design, drawings, and model reviews; manage budgets and resources.
• Interface with subcontractors, suppliers and vendors; procurement support.
• Prepare technical bid evaluations and recommendations for award.
• Coordinate with project teams to meet schedules and quality targets.
• Mentor junior staff and drive continuous improvement.
