Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Dubai seeks a Senior Stakeholder Engineer to lead stakeholder engagement across major transport and infrastructure projects.

You will act as the interface between project teams, authorities, clients and communities to secure timely approvals and clear communication. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and at least 8 years of UAE project experience, with strong liaison with Dubai authorities and a track record in roads, utilities, and public realm projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in stakeholder management for large-scale transport/infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Proven experience liaising with Dubai authorities (RTA, DM, DDA, DCD, DEWA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder engagement for complex transport/infrastructure projects across design and construction phases.
• Develop and implement stakeholder management plans and comms strategies.
• Coordinate with government authorities, utility providers, developers, and community reps to facilitate approvals.
• Prepare and maintain stakeholder registers, track issues, commitments, and resolutions.
• Support design/engineering teams in identifying stakeholder constraints and mitigations.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to communicate requirements and feedback.
• Review authority standards and procedures relevant to project delivery.
• Provide technical input to reports, correspondence, and presentations on stakeholder management.
• Ensure compliance with WSP project management systems, quality standards, and HSE policies.
• Mentor and support junior team members in stakeholder coordination.

We are seeking a Senior Stakeholder Engineer to join our Transport & Infrastructure team in Dubai In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing stakeholder relationships across major infrastructure design and construction projects. You will act as a key interface between project teams, clients, authorities, and the wider community — ensuring smooth coordination, timely approvals, and effective communication throughout project lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder engagement activities for complex transport and infrastructure projects, covering both design and construction phases.
• Develop and implement stakeholder management plans and communication strategies aligned with project objectives.
• Coordinate with government authorities, utility providers, developers, and community representatives to facilitate project approvals and minimize conflicts.
• Prepare and maintain stakeholder registers, tracking issues, commitments, and resolutions.
• Support design and engineering teams in identifying potential stakeholder constraints and developing mitigation measures.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, workshops, and presentations to communicate stakeholder requirements and feedback.
• Review and interpret authority standards, guidelines, and procedures relevant to project delivery.
• Provide technical input to reports, correspondence, and presentations related to stakeholder management.
• Ensure compliance with WSP’s project management systems, quality standards, and health & safety policies.
• Mentor and support junior team members in stakeholder coordination and communication best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience, with a strong focus on stakeholder management within large-scale transport and infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Proven experience liaising with Dubai authorities such as RTA, DM, DDA, DCD, DEWA, du etc.
• Solid understanding of design and construction processes, particularly within roads, highways, utilities, and public realm projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.
• Previous experience working in a consultancy environment preferred.
