Job Description:
To provide specialist support in programme and project controls, ensuring effective planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, cost tracking, performance analysis, and reporting to support the timely and efficient delivery of projects and programmes.
Support the implementation and maintenance of programme and project controls processes, systems, and reporting frameworks.
Develop, review, and maintain project schedules, programmes, milestones, and performance baselines.
Monitor project and programme progress against approved schedules, budgets, milestones, and key performance indicators.
Analyse planned versus actual performance and identify schedule variances, delays, trends, and potential delivery risks.
Support the review of consultant and contractor programmes, progress reports, forecasts, and project controls submissions.
Monitor critical path activities and key dependencies and highlight potential impacts on project delivery.
Support cost monitoring, forecasting, commitments, expenditure tracking, and Estimate at Completion (EAC) activities.
Prepare and maintain project controls dashboards, progress reports, performance metrics, and management presentations.
Consolidate project information from multiple workstreams to support programme-level reporting and performance analysis.
Support progress measurement and ensure consistent application of approved measurement methodologies.
Conduct schedule and performance variance analysis and assist project teams in identifying appropriate corrective actions.
Support the development and review of recovery programmes and mitigation plans where project delays are identified.
Maintain project change registers and support assessment of the cost and schedule impacts of proposed changes.
Support the assessment of programme impacts associated with variations, delays, and Extension of Time claims.
Coordinate with Project Management, Commercial, Contracts, Risk, Procurement, and Technical teams to ensure accurate project controls information.
Support the integration of project risks and opportunities into programme and project controls reporting.
Maintain accurate records of project baselines, schedules, progress information, changes, forecasts, and approvals.
Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports for project leadership and senior management.
Support continuous improvement of project controls processes, reporting tools, templates, and data quality.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
Professional certification such as PMP, PMI-SP, AACE, or equivalent would be an advantage.
Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in programme/project controls, preferably within real estate development, construction, infrastructure, or major project environments.
Strong experience in planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, cost control, forecasting, and project reporting.
Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and project reporting tools.
Good understanding of critical path analysis, project baselines, change control, risk management, and cost/schedule integration.
Experience reviewing contractor and consultant schedules and progress submissions.
Experience supporting multiple projects or programme-level reporting would be preferred.
