Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional kitchen experience.
• 1–2 years in a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef role.
• Strong knowledge of hot kitchen operations.
• Experience in cafés, restaurants, or casual dining.
• Excellent leadership and team management.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in daily hot kitchen operations.
• Work closely with the Executive Chef to maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Supervise and lead the kitchen team during service.
• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes and company standards.
• Ensure smooth kitchen operations during service.
• Assist in menu development, seasonal specials, and recipe improvements.
• Train, mentor, and support CDPs, Commis Chefs, and kitchen assistants.
• Monitor food preparation, stock levels, ordering, and inventory.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times.
• Minimize food waste and assist with food cost control.
• Take responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.
