Job summary

Al Tayer Group is seeking a seasoned procurement leader in Dubai to shape category strategies, drive cost optimization, and mentor a team of sourcing specialists. You will partner with internal stakeholders, manage supplier negotiations, and implement ERP-driven sourcing processes using platforms like Oracle/JD Edwards and SAP Ariba to deliver value across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in procurement, preferably UAE experience.
• Graduate degree, Finance or Engineering; MBA preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytics, and PM skills.
• ERP experience, Oracle or JD Edwards preferred.
• Experience with SAP Ariba sourcing is desirable.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic category sourcing strategies and risk mitigation
• Coordinate sourcing activities to achieve lowest total cost of acquisition or ownership
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and manage their expectations
• Create and execute RFIs, RFPs and RFQs using the e-sourcing platform
• Lead negotiations and prepare detailed pre-negotiation plans
• Construct cost models and purchase price analyses
• Prepare and manage supplier contracts with Legal and business units
• Monitor and improve supplier performance with quarterly reviews
• Manage and coach sourcing specialists and procurement executives

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years in a procurement role, ideally in UAE centralized procurement
• Graduate degree, preferably Finance or Engineering, MBA preferred
• Detailed technical understanding of assigned spend category
• Strong negotiation, analytical and project management skills
• Experience with ERPs, preferably Oracle or JD Edwards
• Experience with SAP Ariba sourcing is desired
