Job summary

Roo is seeking a senior frontend architect to own the long-term technical direction of its frontend platform for web and mobile. You will collaborate with Product and Design to evolve the design system and make it easy for engineers, designers, and AI agents to consume.

You will lead platform initiatives, migrate legacy components to the v2 design system, and improve developer experience through tooling, automation, and documentation while removing friction for builders across the engineering

Qualifications

• Production frontend experience focusing on frontend systems.
• Expertise in React and TypeScript.
• Experience with React Native or mobile development.
• Familiar with design systems and Figma.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or Claude.
• Ability to own a technical roadmap and prioritize work across an engineering organization.

• Significant experience building production software with a focus on frontend systems
• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript

• Experience working with modern design systems and Figma
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted development tools like Cursor or Claude
• Ability to own a technical roadmap and prioritize work within an engineering organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Storybook, style‑dictionary, or design token pipelines
• Experience with animation and interaction frameworks like Framer Motion, Rive, or Lottie
