Job summary

Roo is seeking a senior frontend architect to own the long-term technical direction of its frontend platform for web and mobile. You will collaborate with Product and Design to evolve the design system and make it easy for engineers, designers, and AI agents to consume.

You will lead platform initiatives, migrate legacy components to the v2 design system, and improve developer experience through tooling, automation, and documentation while removing friction for builders across the engineering

Qualifications

Production frontend experience focusing on frontend systems.
Expertise in React and TypeScript.
Experience with React Native or mobile development.
Familiar with design systems and Figma.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or Claude.
Ability to own a technical roadmap and prioritize work across an engineering organization.

Responsibilities

Own the long-term technical direction of Roo's frontend platform, including systems, tooling, and architecture for web and mobile.
Partner with Product and Design to evolve the design system as a foundational platform.
Make the design system effortless to consume for engineers, designers, and AI agents.
Lead platform initiatives like framework upgrades, React Native modernization, and Expo adoption.
Own the migration of legacy components to the v2 design system.
Improve developer experience through shared tooling, automation, and documentation.
Identify and eliminate friction points that slow down builders.
