Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an experienced Stakeholder Engineer to support major transportation infrastructure and utilities projects in Abu Dhabi. You will lead stakeholder coordination with Abu Dhabi government entities, utility providers, and regulatory authorities throughout the construction lifecycle of large-scale projects.

Responsibilities include liaising with DMT, ITC, TAQA, EAD, ADNOC Distribution, Etisalat, du, Civil Defence, MCC, and other bodies; coordinating approvals,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in stakeholder management, authority coordination, and utility interface management.
• 5+ years of construction supervision experience in Abu Dhabi infrastructure projects.
• Extensive knowledge of Abu Dhabi local authority procedures, approvals and permitting processes.
• Experience with utility diversions, protection works, shutdown approvals, and asset handover activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder management and authority coordination for infrastructure projects at construction stage.
• Liaise with Abu Dhabi authorities (DMT, ITC, TAQA entities, EAD, ADNOC Distribution, Etisalat, du, Civil Defence, MCC).
• Coordinate approvals, permits, technical submissions, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
• Submit documents requiring authority review (shop drawings, submittals, method statements, testing docs).
• Coordinate utility diversions, testing, commissioning, handover, and final acceptance with authorities.
• Identify and resolve utility conflicts and access requirements impacting progress.
• Facilitate meetings and technical discussions with authorities and stakeholders.
• Track commitments, approvals, constraints, risks, and mitigation actions.
• Resolve stakeholder issues to maintain project schedules.
• Prepare stakeholder management plans, approval matrices, and progress reports.
