Job summary

Khatib & Alami International in Dubai seeks a Senior Site Quantity Surveyor for Dubai Infrastructure Projects. You will oversee financial administration of supervision contracts, verify payment applications, and ensure accurate contractor payments per contract methods.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, extensive experience in quantity surveying within the Middle East, and strong command of Arabic and English. UAE experience is preferred; Dubai site-based position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Chartered professional engineer certification preferred.
• Knowledge of construction supervision services.
• Understanding of international engineering standards and codes.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Good financial planning and budgeting skills.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure financial administration of supervision contracts with high quality and cost efficiency.
• Support Project Managers with client relations and expectations; assist Resident Manager as needed.
• Review contractor payment certificates and verify against invoices and measurements.
• Review rates for new work items and submit for project manager review.
• Monitor contractor activities on site and maintain daily site diary; prepare progress reports.
• Assist in preparation of monthly cost reports and ensure documentation (As Built, O&M manuals, warranties).
• Ensure proper handover with commissioning reports and defect lists.
