Job summary

Kanadevia Inova seeks an experienced Site HSE Leader to drive the project HSE program on site in Abu Dhabi. You will lead the KVI and contractor teams to implement and comply with HSE requirements and ensure on-site standards are met.

The role requires strong HSE leadership on construction/commissioning sites in the Middle East, with UAE regulations familiarity and ISO standards experience. You will coordinate with regulatory bodies and deliver regular HSE training and reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Health Safety Environment or Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience at site as HSE leader for Construction/Commissioning.
• Familiar with international HSE regulations and best practices.
• Previous experience in the Middle East would be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership and commitment to Health Safety and Environment on site.
• Lead KVI and contractor teams to implement and comply with HSE requirements.
• Develop, maintain and implement the Site HSE Management System per company/certification standards.
• Update HSE documentation during all project phases as needed.
• Monitor compliance with legal requirements and regulations.
• Intervene decisively to enforce HSE standards on site for all personnel.
• Advise and support all HSE matters at all levels within the site organization.
• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments to reduce risks to ALARP.
• Ensure RAMS are reviewed and work is performed per RAMS.
• Support Site Manager on correct implementation of Permit to Work system.
• Act as main contact with regulatory authorities on HSE issues.
• Undertake incident investigations and reporting.
• Perform internal HSE inspections and audits on site.
