Job summary

Innovo Group seeks an experienced Senior Site Engineer – Electrical to lead planning, coordination, and delivery of electrical works on UAE construction projects, ensuring compliance with DEWA/SEWA and project specs.

You will review drawings, prepare method statements, monitor progress, and coordinate with HVAC, plumbing, and civil teams to achieve on-time, quality completions while upholding HSE standards on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in electrical works within construction / MEP projects.
• Minimum 2–3 years in a project engineering role.
• Proven experience in UAE construction projects.
• Knowledge of UAE authority requirements (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, Etihad WE, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical works from project start to handover.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contracts.
• Prepare method statements, work programs, and technical submittals.
• Monitor progress and ensure electrical works meet project timelines.
• Assist the Project Manager in project planning, reporting, and control.
• Ensure electrical installations comply with project specifications and UAE codes.
• Provide technical guidance to site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate electrical works with HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting, and Civil teams.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and authorities for approvals and inspections.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for material procurement and delivery.
• Attend project meetings and prepare technical and progress reports.
• Ensure QA/QC standards and approved procedures are followed.
• Review and submit material and shop drawings submittals.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Support snag clearance and final handover documentation.
• Assist in cost monitoring, variations, and claims preparation.

Role Purpose

The role supports the Project Manager to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project completion.

Key Accountabilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical works from project start to handover
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contracts
• Prepare method statements, work programs, and technical submittals
• Monitor progress and ensure electrical works meet project timelines
• Assist the Project Manager in project planning, reporting, and control

Technical Responsibilities

• Ensure electrical installations comply with project specifications and UAE codes
• Provide technical guidance to site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
• Resolve technical issues, design discrepancies, and site coordination matters
• Coordinate electrical works with HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting, and Civil teams

Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with consultants, clients, and authorities for approvals and inspections
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for material procurement and delivery
• Attend project meetings and prepare technical and progress reports

Quality Control & Testing

• Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards and approved procedures
• Review and submit material and shop drawing submittals
• Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical systems
• Support snag clearance and final handover documentation

Cost Control & Documentation

• Assist in cost monitoring, variations, and claims preparation
• Maintain accurate project documentation and as-built drawings
• Support procurement through technical evaluation of electrical materials

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure electrical works comply with site HSE policies and safety regulations
• Promote safe work practices and participate in safety meetings
