Job summary

Innovo Group is seeking an Electrical Site Lead to manage on-site electrical activities for MEP projects in Abu Dhabi. You will mentor junior engineers, ensure installations conform to drawings, specifications and UAE authority requirements, and coordinate inspections with DEWA and other authorities.

The role requires UAE project experience, strong leadership, and the ability to drive testing, verification, and handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field is required.
• 4–8 years of experience in electrical works within construction / MEP projects.
• Minimum 2–3 years in a project engineering role.
• Proven experience in UAE construction projects.
• Knowledge of UAE authority requirements (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, Etihad WE, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical site engineering activities on assigned Innovo MEP project areas, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring installations comply with drawings, specifications, and authority requirements.
• Lead inspection request preparation and coordinate with DEWA/SEWA/ADDC inspectors; track authority inspection comments and ensure timely close-out before energization.
• Mentor Site Engineers (Electrical) and train junior engineers on cable testing, megger testing, and panel verification procedures.
• Witness cable testing, earthing, and panel commissioning checks prior to energization; verify installations comply with single line diagrams and load schedules.
• Record daily electrical site progress and report deviations from programme to the Electrical Supervisor; maintain as-built markups and site test records for handover documentation.
• Introduce modern tools, technologies and processes to improve efficiency and transparency; encourage innovation to enhance outcomes and reduce costs without compromising quality.

Electrical Site Leadership

• Lead site verification of electrical installations against approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate cable routing, containment, and panel installation sequencing with other MEP trades.

Inspection Coordination

• Lead inspection request preparation and coordinate with DEWA/SEWA/ADDC inspectors.
• Track authority inspection comments and ensure timely close-out before energization.

Mentoring

• Mentor Site Engineers (Electrical) on technical matters.
• Train junior engineers on cable testing, megger testing, and panel verification procedures.

Testing & Verification

• Witness cable testing, earthing, and panel commissioning checks prior to energization.
• Verify electrical installations comply with single line diagrams and load schedules.

Progress & Reporting

• Record daily electrical site progress and report deviations from programme to the Electrical Supervisor.
