Job summary

AECOM in Dubai seeks a Senior Signage and Wayfinding Designer to lead the design and implementation of large-scale signage programs across the Middle East. The role involves creating Arabic/English wayfinding strategies, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering detailed design documentation from concept to installation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in graphic design, Environmental Design, Industrial Design, architecture or related field.
• 6+ years of signage and wayfinding design experience with strong portfolio.
• Familiarity with Arabic typography, cultural symbolism, and regional design codes.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Rhino, and rendering tools such as Keyshot.
• Strong communication and ability to work remotely with regional teams and clients.
• Present design proposals to clients and implement revisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of signage and wayfinding systems for large-scale Middle East projects.
• Create bilingual (Arabic/English) wayfinding strategies reflecting regional norms.
• Collaborate with architects, landscape designers, branding consultants, and client representatives.
• Prepare comprehensive design documentation including sign location plans and schedules.
• Coordinate with Middle East teams during site audits, presentations and installations.
• Ensure compliance with regional accessibility standards and local regulations.
