Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Wayfinding Technical Designer for our Dubai team. You will independently lead signage and wayfinding packages through design, tender and construction, coordinating with architecture, landscape, interiors, structural, MEP and lighting disciplines.

The role requires mastery of signage systems, fabrication methods, and construction detailing, with the ability to mentor junior designers and deliver technical documentation across multiple projects in the Middle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in signage and wayfinding technical design, architectural detailing, or related technical design.
• Ability to independently manage signage technical documentation and coordinate multidisciplinary project requirements.
• Strong understanding of signage materials, fabrication techniques, fixing systems, illumination and construction detailing.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of signage and wayfinding technical packages across design, tender and construction stages.
• Translate approved sign family designs into technical intent drawings with dimensions, materials and mounting details.
• Coordinate sign location plans, message schedules, quantities and documentation across disciplines.
• Mentor junior technical designers and ensure timely delivery of coordinated documentation.
• Coordinate with architecture, landscape, interiors, structural, MEP and lighting teams to resolve design clashes.
