Job summary

SS Ventures Private Limited is seeking a Senior Security Assurance Specialist to lead security assurance across technology controls, applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments. The role focuses on assessing control effectiveness, coordinating reviews, and guiding remediation to enhance the organization’s security posture.

The ideal candidate will drive risk-based assessments, support audits and certifications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of information-security governance, risk, and assurance principles.
• Proven experience assessing design and effectiveness of security controls.
• Experience with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2, or COBIT frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security assurance strategies, methodologies, standards, procedures, and assessment frameworks.
• Establish assurance plans aligned with risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct security control assessments across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
• Review identity and access-management controls, encryption, logging, and vulnerability management.
• Coordinate security testing activities including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Maintain centralized register of findings, remediation actions, owners, and due dates.
• Support third-party risk assessments, vendor onboarding, and supplier security assessments.
• Prepare security assurance reports, risk analyses, and executive dashboards.
