Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Sr Manager - Supply Chain Management to oversee end-to-end procurement, logistics, and vendor management for solar EPC projects, ensuring on-time delivery and cost efficiency. The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field, 14+ years in SCM within solar/EPC, and professional certs such as CSCP or CPSM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 14+ years of experience in supply chain management, with preference for solar/renewable energy or EPC industries.
• Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g. CSCP, CPSM).

Responsibilities

• Procurement Management: Lead and manage procurement processes for solar equipment, materials and services; negotiate with suppliers for price and quality.
• Logistics and Delivery Coordination: Oversee logistics, transportation and warehousing; ensure timely delivery and manage costs/risks.
• Vendor and Supplier Management: Develop relationships with vendors, conduct performance reviews, resolve delays/quality/cost issues.
• Inventory and Stock Control: Manage inventory levels and optimize stock to meet project needs.
• Cost Optimization: Continuously evaluate strategies to reduce supply chain costs while maintaining quality and timelines.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to disruptions, shortages, delays and price volatility; develop contingency plans.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals; set goals and conduct evaluations.
• Compliance Documentation: Ensure regulatory and safety compliance; maintain procurement contracts and supplier communications records.
