Job summary

Apex Group Ltd is seeking a Client Risk Officer to lead the development and oversight of risk management for its clients in the UAE. The role covers operational, regulatory, technology, cyber, conduct, and third‑party risks, with responsibility for policy updates and risk governance.

You will maintain risk registers, prepare reports for senior management and the Board, and coordinate with Compliance/MLRO to ensure regulator readiness. A regulated environment background is important.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years experience in risk management within financial services
• Strong understanding of operational risk, conduct risk, regulatory risk and governance
• Experience in a regulated environment: ADGM/FSRA and DIFC preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Enterprise Risk Management framework, Risk Appetite Statement, and Key Risk Indicators.
• Own and update risk policies, procedures, and risk governance documentation.
• Maintain the Risk Register for Apex clients across operational, regulatory, conduct, technology, and third‑party risks.
• Oversee risk management including portfolio analysis.
• Provide risk reporting and insights to senior management, the Board, and relevant committees.
• Assess risks related to new products, digital assets, technology infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
• Oversee outsourcing and third‑party risk management, due diligence, and monitoring.
• Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and control improvement actions.
• Collaborate with Compliance and MLRO to align risk management with regulatory obligations.
