Job summary

DU in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a senior Risk & Compliance leader to establish and oversee the company’s risk management framework, policies, and regulatory compliance. The role reports to the CEO and Board, guiding risk appetite and control maturity across the enterprise.

The candidate will lead AML and governance initiatives, liaise with regulators, BRCC and the Board, and drive risk mitigation across Commercial and Technology functions.

Qualifications

• Experience in fintech or banking industries.
• Strong understanding of UAE regulations and consumer protection frameworks.
• Board-level communication and reporting experience.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish and supervise the Risk & Compliance functions and the risk management framework.
• Ensure regulatory communication and compliance across the organization.
• Oversee risk policies, appetite, and parameters with the BRCC and Board.
• Lead AML, compliance controls, and governance maturity initiatives.
• Collaborate with regulators and the Board on risk-related reporting and remediation priorities.
