Job summary

Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital in Abu Dhabi seeks a senior nursing leader to guide a patient-centric team, ensure evidence-based practices, and maintain high clinical standards.

You will develop staff, foster engagement, and oversee resources to deliver safe, efficient care while complying with UAE regulatory requirements and JCIA guidelines.

Your role focuses on driving quality, optimizing staffing, and enhancing patient experiences through proactive leadership and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognised or accredited Nursing Institute.
• 5 years’ nursing experience; private hospital/clinic preferred.
• 2 years’ senior nursing experience desired.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Lead and manage the nursing team in the provision of patient-centric and evidence based nursing care, operational efficiency and positive patient experiences

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

To provide strong leadership and management guidance to the team

To ensure evidenced based patient care practices are followed as per clinical standards

To ensure a positive patient care experience by developing employees and creating an environment for team engagement

To manage allocated clinical and non-clinical resources in a cost effective and efficient manner to enhance safe patient care

To ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and clinical standards to ensure continues quality improvement

REQUIRED EDUCATION

A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognised or accredited Nursing Institute

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

At least 5 years’ nursing experience, preferably in a private hospital or clinic

At least 2 years' senior nursing experience is desired

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Demonstrate the ability to implement all five (5) stages of the Scientific Nursing Process (assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation)
• Relevant JCIA and other related governance and regulatory standards
• Application of the nursing scope of practices as per the regulatory framework
• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
• Risk management principles, systems and best practice
• Stock control principles and management
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
