Job summary

Sener in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of railway telecoms across all project phases for landmark rail and metro schemes.

You will coordinate systems such as FOBN, SCS, IP/MPLS, CCTV, PA, PIDS, ACS, radio, telephone, and data networks, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with Signaling, Power, MEP, Civil, Track, and Architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10–12+ years of overall engineering experience.
• 7–8+ years of Rail & Metro experience.
• Proven experience in design and delivery of railway telecommunications systems.
• Strong knowledge of international railway standards and telecom systems integration.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary railway infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit/Navisworks experience is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of railway telecommunications systems across all project phases.
• Design and coordinate systems including FOBN, Structured Cabling Systems, IP/MPLS & Transmission Networks, CCTV, PA, PIDS, ACS, Radio Communications, Telephone, Master Clock, Intercom, and Data Networks.
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and BOQs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Signaling, Power, MEP, Civil, Track, and Architecture.
• Review contractor submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and material approvals.
• Support construction, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
