Job summary

Sener in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Senior Structural Design Manager to lead the structural design discipline across major Rail & Metro projects, driving technical leadership and client-facing execution through the full design lifecycle. The role requires extensive experience in reinforced concrete and steel structures, along with BIM workflows and coordination.

You will mentor teams, coordinate with multidisciplinary groups, and ensure adherence to global standards in a hybrid UAE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of overall structural engineering experience.
• Mandatory Rail & Metro design experience.
• Strong reinforced concrete and steel design knowledge.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD Pro or equivalent plus AutoCAD.
• Experience with Revit Structure and BIM coordination is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Structural Design team, including resource planning and performance.
• Plan and manage deliverables across concept to IFC with on-time delivery.
• Coordinate designs for major Rail & Metro structures (stations, depots, facilities).
• Provide technical direction and ensure alignment with standards and best practices.
• Act as primary client contact for structural design and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Review and approve key structural calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Maintain hands-on involvement in complex RC and steel design tasks.
• Lead design reviews, workshops, and value engineering initiatives.
• Monitor progress, risks, and multidisciplinary coordination.
