Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to join the project controls team in the UAE, overseeing planning and schedule performance for a multi-contract rail programme.

You will review contractor programmes, manage integrated master schedule, monitor progress with EVM metrics, and provide executive-level insights on critical path and delays.

The role requires 10+ years in major infrastructure projects, expert Primavera P6 skills, and experience with EOT/TIA analyses under FIDIC contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of planning and scheduling experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience on rail, metro, or light rail projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Experience with EOT claims and TIAs.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts (programme progress, delay and claims).
• Solid understanding of CPM scheduling, WBS, progress measurement and EVM.

Responsibilities

• Review contractor baselines for compliance with contract requirements and document comments.
• Develop and maintain the integrated master programme across contracts.
• Verify progress through site inspections, records, and procurement tracking.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and executive-level dashboards.
• Assess schedule variances, identify root causes, and recommend recovery actions.
• Keep independent schedule records to support client positions in claims.
