Job summary

Sener in the United Arab Emirates seeks a seasoned Structural Design Manager to lead the structural design discipline across major Rail & Metro projects, delivering technical and managerial leadership through the design lifecycle.

This role requires hands-on expertise in reinforced concrete and steel, strong team leadership, and effective client coordination, with a hybrid UAE work setup and opportunities to influence iconic railway infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with relevant professional registration.
• Minimum 15 years of structural engineering experience in Rail & Metro.
• Proven leadership of design teams across lifecycle stages.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel design.
• Experience with BIM and digital engineering workflows is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Structural Design team and manage resources.
• Plan deliverables from concept to IFC, ensuring program and budget targets.
• Coordinate designs for stations, depots, and railway facilities.
• Provide technical direction and oversee calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Act as primary client interface for structural design topics.
• Lead design reviews, constructability discussions, and value engineering.
• Monitor progress and manage technical risks and quality procedures.
• Support continuous improvement of standards and processes.
