Parsons is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead financial and contractual aspects of major projects in the UAE. You will manage monthly payments, support on variations and claims, and prepare final accounts, while guiding a QS team on site and at client offices.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years post graduate experience, with at least 6 years in the UAE, strong knowledge of contract documentation, and proficiency with Primavera, Contract Manager and DMCS. UAE residency is required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or construction management or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years post graduate experience in all aspects of quantity surveying with at least the last 6 years in the UAE.
• Proven experience in analyzing contract variations and claims.
• Experience in contracts engineering under construction supervision project is a must.
• Excellent written contractual correspondence and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, engineering drawings and specifications, and be qualified to be a QS team leader.
• Working knowledge of software typically associated with quantity surveying and familiarity with typical project controls software such as Primavera scheduling software, Estimate/Schedule Transfer tools, Contract Manager, and DMCS (Document and Materials Control System) is required.
• Must be available in UAE.

Responsabilidades

• Take care of the financial and contractual aspects of the project/ programme.
• Participate, record and prepare the minutes of the progress meetings.
• Provide support on all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of the work in the project.
• Finalize the Contractor’s monthly payment certificates.
• Make sure that all cost and quantity records are streamlined and kept in order.
• Advise the SRE and RE’s on measurement procedures and calculation of interim and final quantities.
• Evaluate the unit rates for new work items.
• Establish the way of recording the details and monitor the day works recording and process
• Lead in the preparation of variation orders.
• Lead in the evaluation of claims.
• Advice on contractual matters related to financial issues
• Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements
• Advise on contractor’s resource allocation.
• Prepare financial statements for monthly report.
• Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations.
• Check and record measurements of completed work.
• Monitor contracts final cost estimates.
• Coordinate and monitor activities of his team.
• Prepare Final Account with all supporting documentation
• Must be prepared to Work in the Field within Client offices and site offices
