Job summary

Hill International in Abu Dhabi is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to manage project cost, budgeting, cost control, variations, claims and contract administration on major projects. You will review cost estimates from design consultants and contractors against the agreement, drawings and specifications, certify payments, and support closeout with the project team.

A degree in engineering or quantity surveying with at least twelve years of relevant experience and familiarity with FIDIC is

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or quantity surveying.
• At least twelve years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of cost and of FIDIC.
• Chartered quantity surveyor status preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Manage project cost, budgeting, cost control, variations, claims and contract administration.
• Review cost estimates submitted by the design consultant and the contractor against the agreement, drawings and specification.
• Review Bills of Quantities for compliance with drawings and specification.
• Verify project control budgets and forecasts of final cost; certify progress payments and final accounts with the project team.
• Review change requests, contract trend notices, variation orders and claims.
• Check final cost reports, asset registers and project closeout reports against contract requirements.
