Job summary

Career Maker Bahrain seeks an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client in Sharjah, specializing in marble works and high-end interior fit-out projects. The candidate should be an Arabic speaker with strong commercial acumen and proven cost control, contract management, and procurement expertise.

Responsibilities include preparing BOQs and budgets for marble and fit-out schemes, reviewing drawings and contracts, managing subcontractor negotiations, and maintaining cost reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably marble/stone or fit-out.
• Proven experience in marble works (supply, installation, detailing, finishing).
• Fluent in Arabic and English (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction market and contract practices.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and BOQ for marble and fit-out projects.
• Manage full project lifecycle from tender to final account.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contracts for cost planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bill of quantities (BOQ) for marble and fit-out projects.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from tendering to final account settlement.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accurate cost planning.
• Handle subcontractor evaluation, negotiation, and contract administration.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and progress to ensure alignment with budget.
• Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates, and financial reports.
• Evaluate and process change orders and claims.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
