Job summary

SGS is seeking a senior QC inspector in Abu Dhabi to organize and execute on-site inspections for oil and gas construction projects. You will ensure adherence to the Inspection Test Plan and issue quality records.

The role requires a degree in engineering and 6+ years in the oil and gas sector, with familiarity of codes and client approvals; on-site focus with transformers, switchgear and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of Oil & Gas construction QC experience.
• Familiar with applicable engineering standards and codes used during QC surveillance in onshore EPC projects.
• Saudi Aramco / ADNOC / client approvals preferable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Organize and execute inspection jobs with professionalism.
• Execute the specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
• Issue the relevant Quality Records and non-conformances reports when necessary.
• Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain relevant documentation, and manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections.
• Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
• Verify special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications.
• Check power transformers, switchboard, accumulator battery, sockets outlet, lighting system, Remote terminal unit, instruments, cables, tunings etc.
• Perform visual inspections, dimensional test, check rating and material for connection.
