Job summary

SGS is seeking a Civil Structural Inspector for Oil & Gas projects in the United Arab Emirates. The role requires on-site inspection of structural steel fabrication and erection, welding, bolting, alignment, fit-up, and coating to ensure compliance with approved drawings and standards.

Candidates should have a civil engineering degree or diploma and at least 5 years of oil & gas inspection experience, with strong English communication skills. The position is on-site in Abu Dhabi.

• 5+ years Oil & Gas construction inspection experience.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of structural steel fabrication and erection to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and project standards.
• Inspect welding, bolting, alignment, fit-up, and coating works for quality and conformity.
• Identify and report non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure activities follow approved procedures, project requirements, and applicable standards.
