Job summary

Confidential Careers in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced QC Manager to lead quality control and assurance across food manufacturing and production operations. You will oversee HACCP, GMP, and food safety systems, and drive audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, 10 years in quality roles, and at least 3 years of leadership experience within food industries in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Quality Management, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, Food Safety, or Quality Management are highly preferred.
• 10 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Food Safety.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong experience within food manufacturing, food processing, catering, bakery production, FMCG, or food distribution environments.
• Proven experience implementing and managing HACCP, GMP, and food safety management systems.
• Experience managing audits, inspections, certifications, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of food quality standards and quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Control function across food manufacturing and production operations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards.
• Monitor product quality throughout production, packaging, storage, and distribution processes.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and hygiene requirements.
• Conduct routine quality inspections and verification activities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE food regulations and food safety standards.
• Maintain and improve HACCP, GMP, GHP, and food safety management systems.
• Support regulatory inspections and customer audits.
• Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.
• Investigate customer complaints and quality incidents.
• Plan and conduct internal quality audits.
• Manage external certification audits and regulatory inspections.
• Monitor compliance with food safety and quality management systems.
• Develop audit reports and improvement plans.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout operations.
• Lead and develop the Quality Control team.
• Conduct training on food safety, hygiene, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor team performance and establish quality KPIs.
• Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Develop quality performance dashboards and reports.
• Analyze quality trends, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
• Monitor quality KPIs and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Present quality performance updates to senior management.
