Job summary

Bateel International in Dubai seeks a Quality Control Specialist to support QA across production, warehouse and logistics. The role focuses on implementing FSMS (BRC/HACCP), preparing specifications, and ensuring audit readiness for HACCP, BRC, ORGANIC, HALAL, and municipal reviews.

Ideal candidate holds a Microbiology or Food Science degree with 7+ years in the food industry and strong English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist all QC activities in production, warehouse and logistics.
• Support FSMS implementation based on BRC/HACCP and audits.
• Prepare product specifications for manufacturing items per country requirements.
• Provide on-the-job training for production and warehouse staff.
• Maintain documents for HACCP, BRC, ORGANIC, HALAL audits and municipal/supplier/customer audits.
• Attend customer/internal complaints and log for corrective actions.
• Verify HACCP checklists/records.
• Supervise QC supervisors in production, storage and logistics duties.
• Coordinate with logistics for registration of finished/imported items.
• Prepare ingredients and nutrition facts for product labels as per country standards.
• Assist in verifying process flow diagrams and on-site verifications.
• Prepare trend analysis reports for customer complaints, microbiology, and environmental monitoring.
• Assist Mock recall tests for finished products.
• Ensure MSDS, DM approvals and approved chemical list are in place.

Report: Manager - Quality Control

Job Purpose:

• To Assist all the quality control activities in production, warehouse and logistic operation and report to Manager- QA.

Key Accountabilities:

• Support the Manager- QA in the implementation of Food Safety Management System (FSMS) in the whole factory based on the BRC/HACCP system and other Audit system.
• Ensure to prepare the product specification for all the manufacturing items as per the country requirement and whenever new item launched.
• Assist the Manager QA to provide on the job training for all the production and warehouse staff.
• Ensure all the documents for third party audits like HACCP/BRC/ORGANIC/HALAL audits and other audit like Dubai municipality audit and supplier audits. / Customer audit.
• Assist the Manager QA to provide on the job training for all the production and warehouse staff.

• Assist Manager QA to attend customer and internal complaints and register it on the complaint log to take corrective and preventive action.

• Supervise and ensure all the QC supervisors’ activities in terms of all production, warehouse and logistic such as Storage control/CCP monitoring/ production checks/ label checks/ incoming items/ outgoing items etc.,
• Prepare all the required information such as labels/picture etc and share with logistic department for all the manufactured and imported items for registration.
• Support in preparing/ reviewing/ on site verification of process flow diagram as per standards.
• Prepare the details of ingredients and nutrition facts for the products label as per the different country standards.
• Prepare or arrange the trend analysis report on customer complaints, microbiological analysis, environmental monitoring tests as per requirements.
• Assist Manager QA in performing Mock recall test for the finished products.
• Ensure all the documents related to pest control, cleaning chemicals such as MSDS & DM approval and approved chemical list are in place.
• Follow up with logistic department for the registration status of finished products.
• Ensure the cleaning and sanitation of the production and warehouse premises and its records.
• Coordinate with QC supervisor for collecting and filing documents from the raw materials and packaging materials supplier as per requirements.

Qualification and Licenses requirement:

• Undergraduate/ Master Degree in Microbiology or any other food science.
• Occupational Health Card
