Job summary

Dicetek LLC is seeking a QA/Test Engineer with 4–7 years of software testing experience, preferably in banking/finance, to lead API and end-to-end testing across tax and invoicing workflows in the UAE. You will design test strategies, write test cases, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include functional testing, SIT, regression, UAT support, and data validation across ERP and tax platforms. Proficiency in Postman/SoapUI/OpenAPI and SQL is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS or IT or related field.
• Preferred Islamic Finance/Banking certification or coursework.
• 4–7 years of software testing/QA experience in banking or capital markets.
• Hands-on API testing and system-to-system interface testing.
• Experience in tax, VAT, invoicing, ERP, or regulatory implementation projects is highly desirable.
• Previous involvement in an e-Invoicing implementation would be a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and test management systems.
• Familiar with SQL, API testing and basic scripting.
• ISTQB Foundation Level or CSTE Certified Software Tester.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test strategy, scenarios, cases, data, and traceability matrix.
• Perform functional testing, SIT, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate complete invoice lifecycle including generation, validation, submission, acknowledgement, rejection, correction, and status updates.
• Perform API testing between source applications, middleware, tax/e-invoicing platforms, and downstream systems.
• Validate API requests/responses, authentication, headers, status codes, payload structure, mappings, errors, and retries.
• Validate XML/JSON payloads against schemas and business rules.
• Test mandatory and conditional invoice fields, data formats, calculations, tax values, exemptions, and zero-rated transactions.
• Validate data mapping between trading apps, finance/ERP, tax engine, middleware, and e-invoicing platform.
• Conduct positive, negative, boundary, exception, and data-validation testing.
• Support UAT preparation, test execution, defect triage, and production-readiness assessments.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in functional and end-to-end testing.
• Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, OpenAPI.
• Understand REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, HTTP methods, auth, and errors.
• Validate XML against XSD/schema and field-level data validation.
• SQL for backend/database validation and reconciliation.
• Use defect/test-management tools (ALM/Quality Center or similar).
• Understand integration testing across multiple upstream/downstream systems.
• Interpret BRDs, interfaces, field-mapping sheets, and regulatory specs.
• Display strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
