Job summary

First Orion is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience to build and maintain automated test frameworks for web, backend, and APIs. You will validate microservices and cloud apps in AWS, design tests, and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.

The role emphasizes strong Java, Spring Boot REST APIs, and SQL, with Docker and Git workflows, plus frontend basics for full-stack awareness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on Java with Spring Boot REST APIs.
• Experience designing APIs and integrating microservices.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL and AWS services.
• Docker, containers, and CI/CD familiarity.
• Git-based workflows; debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Frontend basics: JavaScript/TypeScript/React/Angular.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites.
• Create and execute tests for web, backend, and API-based apps.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Validate REST APIs, microservices, and backend services for quality.
• Write test scripts with modern automation tools and frameworks.
• Debug defects and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for delivery.
• Conduct SQL-based database validation and testing.
• Execute performance/load testing with tools like JMeter.
• Test cloud apps/services in AWS environments.
• Improve automation coverage and testing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable software.
