Job summary

AKH Hospital Al Ain seeks a Specialist Psychiatrist to join our mental health department, bringing extensive clinical experience and a patient-centered approach to psychiatric care.

The role includes diagnosing and treating a broad spectrum of disorders in adults and adolescents, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to CME programs while maintaining compliant medical records in line with UAE regulations.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) and Specialist Psychiatry qualification (MD/Board Certification, etc.).
• Valid UAE license or eligibility for HAAD/DHA/MOH licensing.
• Minimum 8 years of clinical experience in psychiatry.
• Fluency in Arabic and English preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders in adult and adolescent patients.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, social workers and primary care physicians.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for acute psychiatric cases.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with UAE healthcare regulations.
• Participate in hospital-wide mental health awareness initiatives and CME programs.
