Job summary

GSSTech Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Project Manager to plan and deliver multiple complex initiatives with strong governance and reporting. You will coordinate with departments, manage schedules, risks, and dependencies, and ensure projects are documented and implemented to specification.

The role requires 7+ years in a PMO or similar function within financial services or government sectors, plus PMP/Prince2 or equivalent and a bachelor's degree or MBA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Project Management, an MBA or relevant subject.
• Professional Project Management Certifications (PMP/ Prince2 or equivalent) preferred.
• 7+ years' work experience preferably in a similar role within a Ministry, Banking or Financial entity.

Responsibilities

• Plans and executes projects coordinating with departments to ensure governance, monitoring, prioritization and delivery.
• Monitors schedules, risk mitigation, issue resolution and resource plans for multiple projects.
• Manages project plans, time sheets, status reports and stakeholder communications.
• Ensures timely escalation and provides viable solutions to project obstacles.
• Oversees PMO processes, templates, documentation and compliance with methodologies.

Job description

JOB PURPOSE

The role holder is responsible for planning and execution of projects in coordination with the departments to ensure the effective governance, monitoring, planning, prioritization, and delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects of varying complexity. The job holder will also be responsible for ensuring all projects are successfully monitored, documented, tracked, reported, integrated and implemented.

Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

• Monitors and tracks schedules, communication plans, risk mitigation plans and issue resolution plans of the projects.
• Determine project resource plans and recommend appropriate levels of sourcing for the project ensuring adequate provision has been made for the effective execution and completion of the project.
• Manages project plans and metrics, work plans, time sheets, schedules, resource plans and status reports.
• Ensure coordination between the Project Team and concerned stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Monitor progress of all projects in a timely manner and provide the stakeholders with visibility and sufficient information to make the required decisions.
• Analyse the process for improvement opportunities and develop action plans accordingly.
• Ensure timely escalation of issues to the Relationship Manager while recommending viable solutions.
• Monitor service providers and contractors to ensure delivery in line with the agreed scope, quality, guidelines, and timelines
• Oversee Projects RFP related process as required to ensure best quality services and adherence to stipulated budgets.
• Manage efficient project documentation as per the established PMO Project Management Methodology.
• Ensure timely resolving of project's obstacles and provide direction wherever necessary.
• Review revisions to the project plans as appropriate to manage any change in circumstances.
• Ensure monitoring of progress against all projects is timely manner and provide leadership and stakeholders with visibility and sufficient information to make the required decisions.
• Ensure continuous improvement process for project management methodologies and agile project management techniques to ensure efficient project management practices and governance are followed by the department.
• Coordinate the delivery management process while meeting deadlines thereby ensuring that risks, issues and dependencies are being recorded, monitored and proactively managed.
• Ensure seamless interactions within the department and other CBUAE departments to facilitate and enable efficiency.
• Ensure standardized and relevant document templates are available from a central repository for both the PMO and business project team members.
• Perform any other duties outside the scope as and when required.
• Self-Management Responsibilities
• Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.
• Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended.
• Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all the competencies and skills required to perform the role.
• Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth.
