Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead project engineering management for gas processing facilities and pipelines. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across initiation, feasibility, concept, FEED, EPCm tendering, and handover to operations, ensuring safety and timely delivery.

The role requires a degree in engineering, 10–15 years in project engineering, and strong experience with EPC contracts, construction, commissioning, and HSE

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 10–15 years in project engineering.
• 4–8 years managing engineering & EPC contracts & contractors in a senior capacity.
• Minimum 5 years as a design or construction engineer, preferably for a client.
• Experience in construction, commissioning and early operations.
• Experience in the GCC region is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Apply standard project management process systems and tools; follow a documented project execution sequence.
• Prepare engineering scopes, design criteria, design basis for engineering contractors.
• Specify technical codes & standards; ensure compliance.
• Develop Concept/FEED/EPCm tender strategies and processes for key projects.
• Assist in compiling contract documents; evaluate bids and manage engineering contracts.
• Participate in technical and commercial reviews.
• Drive HSE processes including HAZOP, HAZID, ENVID, EIA; ensure Duty of Care.
• Coordinate permits from relevant Authorities; liaise with contractors and suppliers.
• Provide support to contractor(s) and review contractor work, drawings, and data sheets.
• Manage design changes and cost/schedule variations; oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Ensure orderly close-out and documentation; prepare close-out report.

Education

Degree from an accredited university in Petrochemical/Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering
