Job summary

NES Fircroft seeks a Senior Project Engineer in Ras al-Khaimah to lead complex gas processing and pipeline projects. You will manage scope, costs and schedules while coordinating with contractors, authorities and stakeholders to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

You will drive HSE processes (HAZOP/HAZID), review contractor work, and oversee commissioning activities, with a focus on fit-for-purpose solutions and lessons learned for future projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Petrochemical/Process/Mechanical/Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering.
• 10–15 years in project engineering, preferably oil & gas facilities & pipelines.
• 4–8 years managing engineering & EPC contracts & contractors in senior capacity.
• Min 5 years as design or construction engineer, preferably for a client.
• Experience in construction, commissioning and early operations.
• Experience in GCC region is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Apply standard project management process systems and tools; follow a documented project execution sequence.
• Prepare engineering scopes, design criteria, design basis for engineering contractors.
• Specify technical codes & standards for projects; ensure compliance.
• Develop Concept/FEED/EPCm tender strategies & process for key projects.
• Assist in compiling contract documents; evaluate bids for engineering & construction; manage contracts.
• Participate in technical and commercial reviews.
• Drive HSE processes (HAZOP, HAZID, ENVID, EIA).
• Coordinate approvals with external stakeholders to obtain permits.
• Provide support and guidance to contractors and Review/approve contractor deliverables.
• Monitor progress and control engineering schedule; propose solutions when deviations occur.
• Manage design changes and variations to cost and schedule.
• Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning; ensure orderly close-out.
