Job summary

LEO A DALY is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead design efforts for complex projects within our integrated practice. You will plan design processes, coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and oversee technical quality and schedules.

Qualifications include ABET-accredited degree in Architectural Engineering with civil/structural emphasis or Civil/Structural Engineering degree, plus 10+ years of experience and a PE license.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree as required for professional engineer in civil/structural discipline.
• Minimum 10 years experience in civil/structural engineering on diverse projects.
• Professional Engineer registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a technical expert within the civil/structural engineering team to plan the design process and solve problems of large scope and complexity.
• Assists Project Managers with fee development for civil/structural engineering portions of work.
• Establishes designs and specifies project-appropriate civil/structural engineering requirements.
• Plans, organizes and directs the work of civil/structural Engineers, EITs, and Designers.
• Attends client meetings and communicates with clients, consultants, contractors and others during various stages of project development.
• Conducts site investigations and observations.
• Prepares narratives, reports, calculations, drawings and specification documents with high quality within schedule and budget constraints.
• Facilitates cross-discipline discussions and coordination.
• Reviews civil/structural engineering documents for quality and compliance with code and program requirements.
• Participates in Construction Administration by reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFIs, solving construction issues and performing site visits.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Architectural Engineering with a civil/strucutral emphasis or degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 10 years experience in civil/strucutral engineering on a wide variety of projects within the A/E industry.
• Registered Professional Engineer.
