Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Planning / Project Controls Manager to support major multidisciplinary design and engineering projects in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. You will lead planning and controls across the project lifecycle, coordinating with Project Directors, Managers, and clients.

You will establish robust planning processes, monitor performance, forecast outcomes, and provide early warnings of risks to enable informed decisions and successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of planning and project controls experience on major design, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• UAE/GCC experience with major consultancy or PM/Client-side environment is highly desirable.
• Proven experience managing planning and controls for complex multidisciplinary design projects.
• Strong knowledge of design management processes and Primavera P6.
• Excellent Excel skills and experience with project reporting and dashboards.
• Experience with earned value management, risk, and delay analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and maintenance of the project baseline programme.
• Develop design programmes covering all disciplines, milestones, and interfaces.
• Establish WBS, activity coding, calendars, resources, and programme controls.
• Monitor critical paths, schedule performance, and interfaces across teams.
• Prepare short-term and look-ahead programmes for design stages.
• Establish and manage project controls procedures and reporting requirements.
• Produce progress curves, dashboards, and management reports for stakeholders.
• Lead regular project controls discussions with clients and provide executive dashboards.
