Job summary

Kellogg Brown & Root International Inc. in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Project Controls Engineer to provide integrated project controls across planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, risk, change management and reporting for major energy projects.

You will lead Primavera P6 schedules, manage budgets and forecasts, monitor earned value, prepare dashboards and management presentations, and mentor project controls staff in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• 10–15 years of relevant project controls experience, preferably within Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical or major industrial projects.
• Proven experience in PMC, EPC, EPCM, FEED or major capital project delivery environments.
• Strong knowledge of planning, cost engineering, forecasting, earned value management, risk and change management.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyse integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Manage cost control processes, budgets, commitments, expenditure, accruals, cash flow and project forecasts.
• Prepare and maintain Estimate at Completion (EAC), Estimate to Complete (ETC), variance analysis and cost trends.
• Monitor physical progress and earned value indicators, identify emerging issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Review contractor schedules, progress updates, forecasts, change submissions and invoice support documentation.
• Prepare accurate weekly and monthly dashboards, project performance reports and management presentations.
• Support project risk registers, schedule and cost risk assessments, change control, assurance reviews and audits.
• Coordinate project controls inputs across project management, engineering, procurement, construction, commercial and client teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to project controls personnel and promote consistent governance and best practices.

The successful candidate will provide integrated project controls support across planning and scheduling, cost control, forecasting, progress measurement, risk, change management and performance reporting for major energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cost control processes, budgets, commitments, expenditure, accruals, cash flow and project forecasts.
• Prepare and maintain Estimate at Completion (EAC), Estimate to Complete (ETC), variance analysis and cost trends.
• Monitor physical progress and earned value indicators, identify emerging issues and recommend corrective actions.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10-15 years of relevant project controls experience, preferably within Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical or major industrial projects.
• Proven experience in PMC, EPC, EPCM, FEED or major capital project delivery environments.
• Strong knowledge of planning, cost engineering, forecasting, earned value management, risk and change management.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI and enterprise project controls systems is advantageous.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, AACE PSP/CCP or equivalent are desirable.
• Excellent analytical, communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
