Job summary

Etihad Airways, based in Abu Dhabi, seeks a seasoned technology product owner to lead initiatives in Flight Operations and Crew Management. You will manage the backlog, coordinate deliveries, and ensure governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with DevOps and enterprise architects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the airline or aviation industry.
• Knowledge of Flight Operations and Crew Management systems, including Flight Planning, Crew Pairing, Rostering, and Tracking.

Responsibilities

• Own the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of technology projects across Flight Operations and Crew Operations.
• Translate operational business requirements into technical solutions with architects, developers, and vendors.
• Manage scope, dependencies, risks, and delivery to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with continuity.
• Ensure changes comply with governance, cybersecurity, and aviation regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA, GCAA).
• Serve as liaison between DevOps, Data Engineering, Network Security, and operational stakeholders.
• Prepare and present change records, release plans, and deployment readiness at CAB meetings.
• Provide regular project updates and executive-level status reporting.
• Manage deployments through RTL and related environment management frameworks.
• Support incident and release management using ITSM/ITIL.
