Job summary

Black & Grey HR is partnering with a leading Tier 1 contracting company in the UAE to recruit an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer for high-rise building projects. The role will focus on managing procurement activities, vendor coordination, material planning, and ensuring timely sourcing of construction materials and services to meet project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–13 years of procurement experience in contracting companies.
• Prior high-rise project procurement experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, procurement processes and supplier management.
• Experience in technical procurement and subcontractor coordination is essential.
• Strong negotiation and commercial evaluation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/procurement systems preferred.
• Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for high-rise construction projects in line with project timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with project teams, suppliers, subcontractors and consultants for material and technical requirements.
• Review material specifications, BOQs and technical documents prior to procurement.
• Source and evaluate vendors, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
• Handle RFQs, bid evaluations, negotiations and purchase order processes.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of construction materials and equipment.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues.
• Coordinate with engineering and site teams for material approvals and technical clarifications.
• Maintain procurement records, reports and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, project standards and contractual requirements.
