Job summary

Hitachi Energy Systems LLC is seeking a senior consultant in Abu Dhabi to lead power-system studies and advisory projects across utilities, generation, and industrial clients. You will translate complex analyses into practical recommendations and contribute to grid modernization initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in power systems, hands-on experience with PSS E, DIgSILENT, ETAP or PSCAD, and strong communication skills for client engagement and mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
• 8+ years of experience in power system studies or consulting.
• Strong knowledge of power systems, electricity markets, grid operations.
• Experience with power system modelling tools (PSS E, DIgSILENT, ETAP).
• Programming experience (Python, Fortran, DSL) valued.
• Knowledge of AI, data analytics advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver consulting projects on power system studies.
• Assist clients to improve operational efficiency and address challenges.
• Assess impact of renewable energy, energy storage, hydrogen, e-mobility.
• Develop analyses using industry standards and advanced tools.
• Build customer relationships and support business development.
• Manage project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk, and satisfaction.
• Foster innovation and mentor colleagues.
