Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in Dubai, UAE, is seeking a Power System Studies Engineer in Engineering Services. You will serve as technical lead across complex projects, use PSSE/ETAP/RTDS, and prepare proposals while guiding teams to deliver high-quality, on-time results. Travel domestically and internationally at least 25% is expected.

You will mentor staff, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and collaborate to protect critical electrical infrastructure globally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant application experience with electric power systems or industrial automation practices
• Demonstrated knowledge of electric power system protection, control, integration, or communications applications
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally at least 25%
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise project teams
• Excellent writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead in complex project conceptual and detail design, execution, development and support across multiple projects
• Identify, prepare and present proposals for SEL equipment, services, and systems
• Lead project teams to resolve customer concerns and ensure satisfaction
• Ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, and budget with high quality and safety
• Mentor and develop professional staff as needed
