Job summary

Al Masaood Power in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Contracts & Procurement Engineer to manage procurement processes and contract lifecycles for power-generation equipment and services across the UAE and GCC.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field with at least 5 years of experience, familiarity with FIDIC, and strong English proficiency. Experience with SAP/Oracle is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or 5–8 years in a similar role within the past 12 years.
• Strong English proficiency; UAE/GCC-based candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies and prepare RFQs/RFPs for equipment, sub‑contractors and services.
• Conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations, negotiate contracts, and manage purchase orders and framework agreements.
• Prepare detailed reports, forecasts, and monthly commercial progress updates for senior management.
• Manage variation orders, claims, and change requests; maintain registers and assess commercial impact.
• Administer client contracts, sub‑contracts, and supplier agreements; ensure compliance with notice requirements.
• Maintain commercial trackers, cost reports, risk registers, and ERP records (SAP/Oracle).
• Liaise with project managers, engineering, finance, procurement and site teams to provide commercial updates and resolve supplier issues.
